Research Grants

JSR has successfully secured substantial research grants over the years. Since 2012, we have obtained more than 45 research grants, totaling approximately $8 million USD. This financial support has been instrumental in facilitating a wide range of studies, from clinical trials to experimental research in integrative medicine and basic science.

Awards

Dr. In-Hyuk Ha's Achievements in Advancing Korean Medicine

In 2022, Director In-Hyuk Ha of Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine’s Spine and Joint Research Institute received a commendation from the Ministry of Health and Welfare for his contributions to public health through the scientific advancement of Korean medicine. This recognition was awarded in acknowledgment of JSR's active academic research activities, participation in national research and development projects, and ongoing support for social contribution activities. Over the past decade, Dr. Ha has participated in a total of 127 SCI(E)-level international journal research papers, contributing to the establishment of clinical evidence and the standardization of Korean medicine treatments for musculoskeletal disorders.

JSR Team Wins Grand Prize at 2023 Pseudonymized Data Competition

At the "2023 Pseudonymized Data Utilization Best Practices and Ideas Competition," jointly hosted by five government ministries including the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Personal Information Protection Commission, the JSR team, led by Dr. Yoon Jae Lee, the Vice Director of JSR, received the grand prize in the best practices category (Minister of Health and Welfare Award).

Jaseng Hospital Secures 2023 IRB Certification for Ethical Research Excellence

Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine has obtained the "2023 Institutional Review Board (IRB)" certification from the Ministry of Health and Welfare. This certification is part of a system by the Ministry of Health and Welfare that regularly evaluates the composition and performance of institutional review boards to ensure an ethical research environment in accordance with international standards and to enhance the quality of IRBs within institutions. In 2020, Jaseng Hospital became the first in Korean medicine to receive a suitable rating for the "Human Research Protection Program (HRPP)" from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and was designated as an institution for training clinical trial personnel.
